The Arizona is a large-format ink-jet printer that uses 6 colors of solvent-based inks and prints in 3 quality modes, in resolutions up to 300 (apparent) dpi.  There are many options for printing materials, including indoor and outdoor vinyl, Adhesive Vinyl, Window perf, Canvas, Backlit and more.  The printer is capable of printing up to 52 inches wide.  Materials come in varying lengths and widths.  Check with us for material size specs before beginning your project.

For best printing results, supply CMYK TIF or layered Photoshop files.  The suggested resolution for Arizona output is 100 - 150 dpi at full size.  The resolution you choose will depend on the overall size of your printed piece and the distance at which it will be viewed.  Lower resolutions are acceptable for larger pieces.

We also accept Quark Xpress ver. 4.1, and Adobe Illustrator ver. 10, Photoshop ver. 7, and Corel ver. 9. files.  Be sure when sending EPS files to convert all type to outlines.  Include all placed TIF or EPS images.  Build files with appropriate bleed for grommets, pole pockets, and other sewing. Supply a color correct  hardcopy of your final layout, including call-outs for critical PMS colors.

We accept CD, DVD or floppy media.

Build files either at full final print size, or at 50% or 25% of final print size. If building files at less than full size, adjust the dpi of your placed images accordingly (300-400 dpi at 50%, 600-800 dpi at 25%). Please send original file formats rather than PDF or PS files. That allows us to do modifications, if necessary, for proper final output. If you build your files in Photoshop, sending a layered version along with a flattened TIF is a good idea. Supply a color correct hardcopy of your final layout, including call-outs for critical PMS colors.

Additional Info

Name and label all disks with company name and phone number of someone we can call with questions. Include only the files that are necessary for the job at hand.  Sending multiple versions or irrelevant files and/or folders on the disks will just create confusion. Sending a hardcopy of the final file layouts is very important.

PANTONE and other spot colors are specially formulated colors and are difficult to match exactly with process inks. If spot color matching is critical to your project, please allow extra time for us to run test swatches.
